Hi Peeps, need to know amount in litres of rad cooling system with my Howe Rad. Also how much antifreeze do I need to buy for a 50/50 mix. Vinz

standard capacity is 10litres... so get yourself a 5litre bottle, stick in 5 litres of water and top up with 'water wetter' to make up the extra capacity of your bigger rad?.. though you prolly wont be able to put 10 litres in it as there will probably be some un-drainable coolant knocking about somewhere...

i'd pop the top hose off to stop the rad re-filling from the block then undo the rad drain cock and measure what comes out of the rad.....but to be honest that seems like a faff...just buy 10l of coolant i dont imagine the howe would hold very much more than a stock rad...so with that in mind normal system is @ 10l...maybe its 10% bigger so @ 11l with the howe? so you need 5.5l coolant if that makes sense...then you get 4.5l left over for some other car etc :)
