My Z will be back going back down to Phil to fit my new gearbox and one piece prop and i have asked him to double check everything now i have done a few hundred miles in it. It is seriously overfuelling at present, due to running on a 740cc chip which doesnt fully support all the mods. It cost me a tank and a half of fuel to go 200 miles LOL!

Anyway, it will be going from Phil's down to Thor racing for about a week to give them plenty of time to fit the AEM, Wideband UEGO, MAP sensor and Air Temp sensor. Is there anything that you guys recommend doing in preparation for getting it mapped so nothing is missed?

Also, the spec is below. I have been wondering if i need an adjustable fuel pressure regulator? Is there anything else that you guys would recommend i need?

fitting a FPR would be a good idea then the mapper can adjust the pressure if needed.

erm cant think of anything else, maybe a few different sets of plugs say a set of 7's and 8's

i would also be worried of over fueling badly, you dont want to cause bore wash and knacker your engine before its been mapped!!

I have only driven 500 miles and it will be put on a trailer to get down to Manchester then again to coventry. I hope this isnt enough time to damage it?

The plugs are PFR6B-11B at present.

Which FPR do you recommend?

all depends how rich its running, yes it can damage it if its really over fueling badly!!

plug wise stick with what you have and maybe take a colder set just in case, from experience there nothing worse than having to abandon the mapping for something silly.

FPR wise the nismo one is fine, also sard etc do decent ones

It is just a 740cc chip. It came from Z-tech but dont know who they got it from.

Not going to drive it anymore just in case. How do you tell if it has caused any damage?

wow @ that spec bazz... im glad you out bid me on that os giken gearbox now as it would have been wasted on my spec!

sorry for the unhelpful post but

Cheers mate! Been working on this for a while now!

Think it is meant to be a DTA chip iirc.

at first i read that as it cost me half a tank to do 200 miles.. i was astonished

that spec list looks fab good work will be a monster when all mapped up

Do you mind me asking how long Thor normally takes etc as I need mine doing as well or should I just take it somewhere more local as I have the same injectors and chip etc

I am just leaving it with them as i am in no hurry. I believe they would like to have the car for at least 1 day, but the longer the better.
