Well just gone back to work having 2 weeks off and spent the first week with my mate Scott putting a front on my Zed and doing all manner of other usefull thing's like AIV, PRVR and carbon cannister delete and bypass (EGR got deleted years ago!) as well as re routing various vac hoses to eliminate any boost leaks (Thanks to DannyZX and his boost leak tester) and removing all the corrisponding solenoids... Only thing now is my interior heater blower don't work! I know this bumper isn't to everyone's liking but I like it and that's what matters. That's what makes us all individual else we would all like the same women, tv progs ets! Here are some pic's anyway and Scott is up for anymore Z work if you can get your car's down to cornwall so give him a shout on 07886566421

Still gotta do some winglet's for bottom ducts on bottom wing to direct some more airflow up towards the intercooler underneath and give a little more downforce... It's the marmate bumper.. You either love it or hate it! FunkySi, doesn't like it!

looks not bad mate, but with a front bumper like that you really need to get soem nice sideskirts to go with it i think, as IMO it looks daft the way it is.

Some nice skirts and nice rear bumper maybe would look good with the front bumper

and possibly a smooth nose panel aswell?

Yes def Craig, it's all in the pipe line! Used to like the nostrils but wanna go smooth now and yeah getting those skirts done next year. Allready got the rear bumper done years ago with matches the shape of the bottom wing... Cheers dude.

looking good jon:hyper: will be in touch with your mate scott look forward to seeing it on sunday and i want one of those undertrays!:cool:

We're actually thinking about manufacturing these in our spare time seeing as they work from an aerodynamic point of view! Still gotta do some more testing with fins to direct airflow to the right places and also gonna do one for the rear... Told Scott you might want some work doing and he's def up for it and John's wide arch kit too! Yeah looking forward to sunday! Just make sure if we go near speed bumps there not to steep! Perranporth is def now out for me! :hyper:

It's just very light weight plastic at the mo cut into shape that covers the whole front and engine so it's all in one hit as most people are missing there engine undertray... Gonna make it in alley eventually now we got the template... You can really feel the front start to stick above 80... Have done quicker just to make sure it doesn't blow out but not telling you what speed! Only problem is now the local cats sleep in inner bit as there's always paw print's on the inner tray every morning!

Awrite.

If your possibly making these i think i woudl be very intrested mate, would even be intrested in the plastic one you have?

My one was taylored to my new front but could make one to fit any front end that people have.. Only problem is we started with a big square piece fo plastic.. Marked it out and then cut it to fit will appropriate bolt holes... Would need your car or another Zed with a standard bumper to make another template. The front part fixes on by bolts to the front wing and the rear part just bolts into the standard hole fitting's we're the original undertray would bolt too... If we start making them then we'll have a variety of templates to starting making proper ones out of alley in.. Def a must have mod tho IMHO!

Nice work :) If you ever get to the bottom of why your blower dont work let me know as i have the same prob cheers

Not for me sorry, without doubt, the ugliest bumper ever conceived....now adorning what was a beautiful car. Each to their own. If you're happy with that then cool. :duffer:

Hats off to the guy that fitted it. Horrendous fit made good.

nice work well done in doing it all youself

Cheers Gary but Scott did most of the work on the bumper, all I did was help in rubbing down, moulding the light fittings and assist him with on off removal.. I was mainly working on all the Engine bits while Scott was doing that!

Will do mate, surely some one has a fix for this... Was working fine and just coinsidence that removal of the front bumper somehow stopped it from working! Check all fuses and most relay's so can't think what else it would be.. Maybe the amp behind the glove box... Not checked that yet but will post up the fix if I ever get it sorted!

Cheers Si, yeah was a whole weeks worth 8 hours a day to get it to the right shape to fit and cutting and moulding the lights was the most time consuming part... Said to Scott while we we're doing it Si off the forum is gonna kill me for doing this! You never know, prob change my mind again in a few years time that is if it doesn't get mullered by a speed bump first! Use to like the big wing on the back too but thinking next year I now wanna go smooth along with the nose panel...

I gotta say well done for getting the fit so good, I didn't realise how bad the fit of fibreglass bumpers were straight out of the box. Thats real poor to sell something with a fit like that.

But like I said well done and im glad you like it.

Nice work, im about to start working on my Undertray (soon i hope) but remember to cut out some vents for the engine to give the Hot air a passage to escape from otherwise you will be running HOT!

In my design im going to make little V shaped grooves which i will attach to the undertray to direct air to the outsides of the car then back in again into my rear diffuser! They only need to be a few mm thick to do the job :) Make sure your exhuast is still the lowest thing underneath otherwise you will wreck it :)

Hope these few things help!
