Hi guys, Reacently my Z has started to splutter even under low presure & maybe over fule? as it smells pritty strong. This is not always the case as sometimes it will run smoothly, any ideas? if i can't sort it myself i will be over to Zedworld. . . If! i can make it. It would be good to have a Haynes manual for the beast but this is the only car ive EVER had that they don't do one for!! dose anyone know why? AAARRRR!!! Did they simply ignore the fact that it was even built!?. . . I need to let off some steam!. . . One day i will know everything about the Z32 but for now, my frustration continues.

No bud, it also go's to cut out when up to temp. I'll see how she runs later wen i nip out, it seems strange to me how it's not all the time? anyway cheers for the reply.

Good look at electrical connectors under the hood wouldnt hurt, pull off clean up make sure back on well type thing.

Sounds like a boost/vac leak to me. Have a thread search and get some info on it. I maybe wrong, but it is worth a look.

i had similar yonks ago turned out the ECU was burning out! Few nice burn marks on the casing! As i said in previous post, am happy to find you and have a look myself if you like :)

Ok bud fine with me, i'm not on much hence the slow replys. I'll be free on sunday mid noon if thats any good? i have a DvD which i havent looked at much yet, thanx for gettin bk. I'll be on tonight bout 10-10.30ish or maybe before if i dnt have to work late again.

Well im off to Zedfest this weekend (only 50miles) you should come along! Ill bring my Conzult Cable (but lappie is bust atm) so if someone has the software we can plug you in and see if your ECU is reading any fault codes. We are going Sat evening, staying over till Sunday Evening.

 

So unfortunately im not around then but im free Monday and Tuesday next week if you want me to pop over and take a lookie :)
