My tailgate spoiler is fubar, so i have a replacement on in grp/glass fibre??.. anyway, its a spoiler. Now i could just put it on and put the rear brake light back in, however , when i put my car PC in i have a rear view camera as well to install. problem is as always, where to put it,

I was thinking of placing the camera in the middle of the brake light slot and have a brake light either side.. What do you think?

Now just have to find a suitable brake light that fits.

I would change it to a smaller pinhole version and fit in in place of the Boot lock instead. Nobody would ever know it was there.

I reckon you'd have to go to a fair bit of trouble and make a surround that fits round the camera and then fits perfectly in the orifice for it to look ok. If that is'nt done i fear it will look very much like a bodge job. :o

if your going to be using centrafuse or something similar and you want your rear view camera to work with that... it wont! it would have to use an alternate channel of the monitor. if your anything like me, you want everything skinned and controllable from the front end software... in which case a usb camera is the only way :D

Well i got nothing else to do in my present state, so i'll have a go. If it turned out a bodge there's no way it would go on anyway

I'll have a go and see how it goes. i'll post pics as and when.

Joely, hi just saw your post, i'm not planning to include it in the software, im sure it uses the other input method (brains gone, cant remember what its called..) so its just a case of switching the input for reversing.
