I'm guessing the monkey that think the Z33 is quicker for 1/4 mile are comparing it to the NA! LOL

 

I am starting to like the Z33 a lot more as of late, but even though they are both a Z car, they are both quite different and I'd drive both for different reasons.

 

But comparing a new car to one that's almost 20 years its junior is a bit pointless IMO. Bit like comparing a BBC Electron to an IMac

Its a funny thread mate. I like the z33 my self but i like the z32 better, Sooner have a z33 as a daily drive mind.

Think Nissan dropped the ball on the z33 the 370 looks much nicer, but the z32 is NOT the 370 of today, I think the car to compare it with today is the GTR. Both cars were the highest tech cars Nissan have realised at the time.

True, but there are some z32 fans on that site. The Renualt Zed comment made me smile.

One thing I've always noticed though, they all moan about Z32 owners being 'elitist' or whatever, whenever I've seen another 240, 260, 280 etc, I've waved/flashed at them and they've returned the gesture, yet, if I do the very same to a 350Z owner, it's meant with blank stares and/or ignorance.

 

Maybe that's just a UK thing.....

 

I must say though, when in the US, the 300 and 350 owners often go to joint meets. That rarely happens over here. Maybe we should try and get some joint 300/350 meets on the go....?

I dont mind the 350 and agree it feels better as a daily driver than the Z32, although i just feel it was a slight let down (Z Heritage wise), The 370 however :bow:

keep in mind when you run into a Z32 TT that you will probably get your ass handed to you if you try them.

well the 350z doesnt deserve to be slagged off - especially by a 300 owner, so thats obviously whats kicked everything off and got the votes in for the 350.

I'm lucky enough to have both and they are two very different beasts not least that they are a decade of design apart. As much as i think the 350Z is a great car - the brembo brakes and handling are brilliant - it's always felt underpowered and just lacking a little something. The 300 just feels punchier when the turbos kick in but hell the standard brakes are woefull in compariosn to the Brembos on the 350 - next mod for me is brake upgrade. The crunch is biting and i may have to get rid of one...it will be the 350 that goes first and i think that sums it up!

Its a new car thing. I doubt very much that the origional owners of the Z32's when they were new waved at Z31 or even other z's. Like current 350Z owners most of them probally didnt know there cars were related to any other Z.

 

The 350Z's will filter down to the enthusiasts and then you will probally get more people waving back

Good find mate, theres a lot of people saying the z32's look 'dated' its 19 years old for **** sake and they still look epic! A lot more mean looking than the girly 350's, nissan have done a top job with the new 370. All the zed's nissan made look great, apart from 350's.
