Matt black looks old, faided and tired. Next people will be wanting to see photos of 'rat look' Z32s!

I have a few pics of matt black Zs.....they are all horrible.

There is something alluring about a matt finish. At the nurburgring last year, there was an 09 Bently Continental, finished in matt black. I am about to finish my bonnet with some decals in a matt finish, as the paint is pretty shite. I dont want to give away too much on what i am about to do, but i will post the pics when it is done, in about a week or 2, and see what you all think, be it good or bad!!

Not at all. It just looks cack. A gloss black is far more pleasing. ;)

Thanks for the input guys... I knew there'd be a mixed response

A mate of mine brought his manta to a meet the other day - the styling is very 'mad-max-ish' but one thing that really suits it is the matt black paint. And someone a few miles away has just has his VW transporter painted in matt grey, I must be honest and say it looks great, however not sure I'd be brave enough to do it to a 300zx?

i saw a matt black lambo the other day drive past me, at first glimpse i did think there was something wrong with it then i realised it was just matt.

Suppose to be really hard to maintain the paint as well as its porous.

More and more new cars I see are matt black, Ive seen a Jaguar X-Type in matt black, and I have also seen a matt black VW "towrag". IMO they do look good but still not as good as a high gloss black one would
