Ok I've established it's not the coil pack or the plug, as i've swapped them both. Any idea what is causing this. It started out intermittent but it's now not firing at all.

Looking from the front it's the middle cylinder, right bank

i dont think uv put the new injector connector on properly.

you cant just plonk them on.

you need to put the connector on, then before you conenct the 2 wires to the loom,

you need to test the wires from the connector, to check they are seated correctly.

to do this you need a multimeter (£5 off bay)

then you need to check there is 10-15 ohms getting throo.

you can connect it and only get about 1 or 2 ohms getting through, or somethimes nothing at all.

i had to remove & refit mine about 5 times sometimes jsut to get the multimeter correct.

when the multimeter shows 10-15ohms, then connect it to the EFI loom :)

Cheers

I've cleaned up the connections on the PTU and it seems to be working OK again.

I've just ordered a multimeter and will test once it arrives

yea them multimeters are handy to have,

for the sake of a fiver.

yea PTU is real common fault, well all connections in general really?

all green gunk on the injectors, PTU, water temp sensor,

id give them all a clean to be honest, just to prevent getting broken down somewhere

I don't want to curse myself but I think I've cracked it......

Ohm tested the new connector and after refitting was getting around 21 ohms

Took off and cleaned the others along with every other bloody connector I could find. Took it for a run to warm it right up.

Up until now, the problem has always occurred on restarting a hot engine.

Turned it off, left it a few minutes and fired it up....Halebloodyluya

all 6 firing, Seems a lot smoother as well, also seems to rev through the top end of the range better. It seemed like it flattened off before.

Cheers for all the pointers and replies
