Just out of interest, how much did you spend on your zed when you bought it.

I know mine was a total bargain and fully working, needed the odd bit of cosmetic stuff on the outside, nothing major, any work ive done myself, the most expensive was doing the clutch. £200.

M reg UK TT Manual £1500. everything working and it still gets used every single day.:hyper:

What did yours set you back??????????

Mine was £5.5k I think. Mine was a top grade fresh import from a dealer (TT Manual). I've probably put £20k+ back into it though. So stands me at over £25k. That's small fry compared to some though.

My Jspec 92 TT Manual was £4500

My Jspec 91 NA Manual was £1200 accident damaged Cat C write off , OTR price was about £1800

My Jspec 89 NA Auto was £800 but needed a new autobox, OTR price was £1000 (did the work myself)

My Slicktop was £1500 - but was a bare rolling shell so probably considered a bit steep by most people , and has cost me 3x that so far completely rebuilding and restoring it back onto the road.

My NA Manual £2800 (10 years ago)

My previous TT £3300 (4-5 Years ago)

My current TT Manual £6800 but it's got about £25000 worth of upgrades...

My Current UK TT 93 Auto cost me £5000 but came with the number plate L500GUN which i sold for £1000 on ebay lol. Spend about £5000 on the car now over 6 years mainly repairs, still standard lol.

just thought wouldnt it be good to do a poll?

Agreed, can someone make this into a poll. please

IMO, don't think a poll would reflect really what we all paid. Some cars were standard, some cars highly modified, some cars brought back from the brink of being sent back to their maker. Also, some people have had their Zs 10 years, some a matter of months. Some being NA autos and some being TT manuals.

91 Jap TT - Cost me £1,700 a year ago, spent about £1,400 replacing various worn parts and the clutch (lesson 101 - be careful when you engage the clutch at full pelt !).

Its my daily ride so get lots of use though.

Needs some more cosmetic fixes and a spray over otherwise its sound.

Well I bought and traded my way into mine.

Bought a bike for £400 as a project. Spent about £50 on it, then a straight trade for the Z.

So £450 :nana2::nana2:

................. So stands me at over £25k. That's small fry compared to some though.

Worth it though.......

......although you could have bought than NSX you promised yourself.....:D

Richard:)

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

I know. Hindsight is an awful thing.....lol

You were there the very first day we looked at it! :D

I know - I won't forget that mini-bus full of girl students waving at us.......

.......or wasting that GTO on the test-drive:rofl:

Richard:)

Yeah, those two things really sealed the deal! Having a mini-bus full of hot college girls wave at you and then completely obliterate a GTO really were the deciding factor! haha That was the best test drive I've ever had! I am sure it was yours too! Hilarious. :duffer:

I reckon so Si:bow:

Back on topic.......;)

I paid £4400 for my red ZX back in June 2003 - an H reg UK spec auto with 63k miles; loads of history etc. Now sold to Pistol Pete......

I paid £3200 for my blue ZX - a very nice, tidy, fully loaded L reg UK spec auto with only 70k miles. I've been buying a fair few things for it since, though......It won't be long before I'm as attached to that as I was with the red one.

I took the chance and bought mine with a seized turbo for £800. Had the bits to fix it already, so has been a bit of a bargain UK manual TT. Got about £800 of bits to fit to it, this is where the fun (and spending) starts.
