Couple of problems

My Speedo is displaying MPH but seems to be reading KMH. Could this be down to some sort of sender relay

The fuel cap is not opening from the lever......Now sorted

And the boot release is working but the lever has to be held up at the same time as lifting the boot

And lastly I need the following repaired. Anyone know if it's much of a job.

And the cigarette lighter is not working (Bummer for the sat nav) Scratch that one now fixed

Cheers

Found this. Not sure if it's on the site but if not it may be useful to other newbies

Have a search on the speedo mate, there is loads of threads discussing it. It is quite possible that the speedo is reading in mph but the odometer is in km.

As for the damage, well... wow, I have never seen that before. Is the metal split? If not and it's just the paint/filler thats lifted, then you will need to bring it back to bare metal and respray. I hate to say this but who ever repaired that in the past has made a right arse of it! They haven't even removed or masked off the rubbers.

I know. he was going to cover it with a carbon strip...Lol. I've just had a quote of £150 to get it done properly but the windscreen needs to be out. Not a problem as It has a small crack so am gonna give it a while and get it done through the insurance

Sounds like a right cowboy! lol If you're handy with a spray gun you could do it yourself.

fookin ell, what had happened for that to be buggered like that

Looks like it's started with a small crack, then due to bodged DIY jobs and a bit of neglect it's just got worse :wack:

how would it crack though?????, never seen them go like that before

£150 is a good price though

i asked the same question, but it was like that when he got it apparently

Bit of rust, bit of filler,no treatment, then paint.Bake in sunshine for a while, and thats the result.
