Evening all...

When i did a quick basic ecu check on the zed followin this link

http://www.ttzd.com/tech/diagnostictech.html

started the engine so that it's monitoring the left sensor..got no sigals..

switched it to right an got signal.. taking it that left is knackered...

Question is.. is the left passenger or driver side?? prob a daft one but don't want to do the job twice!

Check the connectors near the sensors. Mine did the same. Gave the connecor a good scrape of the green oxide and it came back on again.

Cant help mate on this, as on consult it shows both mine are fooked, and have cleaned the crap off and they are still dead as a dodo.

Good news ive got 2 x new to fit very soon.

Stu

dont trial and error installing it, just trial and error disconnecting both, one at a time, and doing the test and see which one is no different when you do it (meaning the one u disconnected is the one that wasnt working before...whereas if u disconnect the good one and both dont work, then u know its the good one u disconnected?)

That's exactly wot i'll do.... i've got another 02 sensor here bought of andy 300z on e-bay..... if i plug that in to the one not working but not fitted would it act like it's working and signal the ecu like it would if it was fitted??

Yeh i've cleaned mine and no change Stu... I've got a replacement ready too... i've heard they can be a bit of a swine to get out! Any tips on tools etc would help...

Let us know how yeh get on doin' yours.

if its not fitted then it may not warm up sufficiently, and because its not sensing exhaust gas it will probably just read 0v anyway if it did warm up.

i wouldnt be too worried if u bought the o2 sensor as new, it should work
