dear oh dear, not good news at all! do you generally get on well with him? If not then send 'the boys' round to get your money back.

well i know if somebody told me no your not getting your 1500 back, he would be getting a very very sore face.

Im about to lend some money out, i know i will get it back but the person getting it knows the consequences.lol.

is he still an accountant???, if you are bankrupt you will be sacked and will never get a job as an accountant again

I will get it buy some means or other , shame he wasnt up front about it !

has he got anything valuable? Why not visit him with a van and help yourself to £1500 worth of goods ;)

go round and kick the granny out of him!!! dont take that sh1te from anyone mate. especially family!! if it was me i would be round there getting it from him one way or another rather than complaining!! although i'm sure that maybe you are a slightly more placid person than me!(not hard really) lol

Surprisingly not so mate. i had a client who was a self employed accountant and was an undischarged bankrupt.....Go Figure

Quite ironically my bro-in-law used to do debt collecting - officially ans unofficially lol... bit far from you but just to let you know theres companies out there if he refuses to pay back without a 'helping hand' ;)

he must have just been working as a consultant - you definitely can't work as a professional (chartered) accountant, or an MP, or a few other jobs...

nice fella....not!

as above he cant be an accountant if he's bust....unless he's been discharged by the OR

that said did he put you down on the bankruptcy petition? from what you wrote it seems to be the first you've heard from him and therefore nothing from the court / OR...if he left you off the petition then he's in deep do doo....its perjury for lying to the OR about his creditors...tell him to cough up or you'll go to the OR and see that they chuck the book at him.....its more trouble or he can avoid it...his choice

if you want to look up when where and who was in charge of his case do a search here...he may have even bullsh1tted you so isnt actually bust anyway

if i can be of any further help give me a buzz

cheers

holly crap dude, it happened to me 2 years ago. My ****er of a bro in law borrowed £2k off me, when i asked if he could give me it back (just over a year ago) he said no! I went round and slapped him about, to cut a long story short in the end he signed one of his cars over to me and i sold it for £3200 :)
