Just about to swap my tailgate for a new one with mid level spoiler.

I've sussed the ram strut removal.

I've accessed the 4 nuts holding the tailgate in place BUT.............

The stupid wiriing going into the rightside of the tailgate seems to have no snap connectors - so I either cut all the wires and rejoin or????

Anyone done this with minimal work?

ta Chris

ps It's going to Nurburg next week so have to fit it Saturday.

the connectors your lookig for are under the rear foof lining bud the others are right in the tailgate.

OK so I'll have to dig a little deeper then ta!

take down the roof linning at the rear not all of it just up to t bar so not to damage or bend roof linning your find it there.

Iv just done mine and they had snap connectors tucked in the tailgate, when i re-fitted i used a welding rod to pass the wiring back through.

Yeah just pulled all the wiring out ready for change of tailgate - thanks I'm sorted now.

The roof lining doesn't actually have to come down. There is a narrow roof trim that pops off then the flimsy roof lining drops enough to get the spanner on. So with a few pairs of hands should be OK.

I'll pop some pics of the new spoiler on when done - it's nothing too sexy but different from the 94 standard one which I always thought was too flat (mind you it seems as if every Zed owner knows better than Nissan and it's designers eh??!!)

Maybe Zed owners ought to help Brawn sort out the aerodynamic issues on Buttons car.............
