I made the decision to start my quest to find a 300zx later in the year, so i thought i'd join as i wanted to know what to look for when buying one. Its a great site and have already had some help from members cheers!

I have a ukdm super marine 2.0 1998 honda prelude at the moment, it has 17" lenzo rs6 rims, tein super street dampers, and a full stainless exhaust on it. The prelude will stay as my work car and the zed will be the toy :)

If it looks like a bag of poo.....walk away

If not, investigate it until you are happy.

They are a completely different animal to the prelude.

If you push them to hard, they do bite back, sometimes very hard.

Look after it and it will look after you.

6000 grand. Good standard 99 looking Zed with 380-400 bhp with nice wheels should do the trick. Im with you on white cars but i own a silver Zed which is also very nice.

I heard that from 1996 onwards they changed something related to the engine, i can't remember what. But i've heard they put out a bit less power from '96 +?

Older ones have the vvt.
