Well folks, after much thought recently the car will be going for an engine rebuild with Andy Duff. Andy sourced parts for me from z1 and sent me the information on everything required with forged pistons etc. So i am just waiting to hear back from him on the final gasket sizes etc to get. He will be rebuilding an engine he alreayd has so that i can just take my car down to him and just have the engines swopped over, and he is able to do it basically ASAP for me and have it done and back to me before the 19th august which is when i go on holiday..........as you can guess im extremely excited.

 

Hes been a great guy and very very very helpful and comes highly recommended so im looking forward to getting the work carried out.

Craig, I would go with Andy, you were pleased with what he has done for you so far and you had good things to say, so stick with him and I'm sure you will be pleased with the job he does for you.

there seem to be a lot of backstabbers on here at the moment, was like when i was selling my car people were putting people off buying it by telling lies, ive heard mixed reviews about andy, but i he is closing down it wont be going there anyway will it?

Yes they do mate, but what I meant was, I do not want this thread turning into a slagging match. ;)

Having spoken to Andy, I can confirm that despite what was said last night - Andy/Zxtreme is NOT shutting down.

 

..and as i've said previously, if your looking for a Z Engine rebuild in the UK, then the you wont find anyone in the UK as experienced and skilled with the VG than Andy Duff/Zxtreme.

Yeah ive spoken to him again and he is NOT shutting down anymore, had a sleep on it and hes still going.

Geez, well after all that i can say 2 names that constantly get great reveiws, i've yet to see or even hear a negative comment about these 2. What's equally important as their skills on doing rebuilds etc, it is their customer service too. Something which if it's poor, will take away all the glory of the work your having done and lets face it, it ain't a cheap job!

 

So if i ever needed mine rebuilt again, i and along with many others would either go to Jimmer who am sure you've probably spoken to already and good ole Phil.

He's often getting the jobs others have ****ed up on, only got got half way through or even those the garage/mechanic never even started after god knows how long. Oh and those who've said "we're going bust so you better come and get your car, NOW!" and then not gave any money back and kept some of your parts!
