Well as you all know i purchased my zed from stella knowing its needing a new engine anyways. today the knocking got slightly louder(harder) and i think its over fueling as it is very very strong when driving the car, so i think its time to get some help and get it into a garage for work.

 

Have been trying to contact JeffTT, completely understand you are busy and select the e-mails and pms you answer back to, but would be very grateful if you could check the date i asked for in the pm and get back to me so that it can be booked in and i know where i stand.

 

IN the meantime........does anybody have any info..companies etc that may be of help with the engine work needing carried out.....already contact jimmer, andy duff, JeffTT. Waiting reply from andy and Jeff(where i was hopignn to get it booked in)

I'm talking with him just now. Trust me a full rebuild aint cheap. too much temptation of 'ah well, whilst the engines out, may as well get bigger tubs, manifolds, bigger injectors......' 'oh, gonna need a new radiator and intercoolers etc etc'

 

Engine swap at zedworld is a good bet. Tthe engines are all checked and tested. You'll get a 60k service with that too. So if your on a budget, sounds like a good bet to me.

 

On the other hand, ive got an NA engine lying about if you fancy that. :D

Well zedworld sounds very tempting again as i read what they say about there engines...all the tests they undergo etc etc and i spoke to jeff previoulsy and from chipping and uping boost reckons a speed of around 370 can be achived which i would b happy with. Would ovioulsy need to see how high the mileage of the engine going in is first of all.

So he would undertake the lot? did not relise if so!, most people i've contacted over rebuild's near me have give a price for my n/a eng no prob's!, but when i mention the tt side of thing's (as in a conversion to boot) the whole mood changes :mad:

 

but would obviously be better to do it all at once !

 

will have to make an enquiry further down the line when i have the tt lump :cool:
