i think the bonnet is lifted on purpose to let the hot air out of the back of the engine

 

paint work looks spot on

Nice wheel choice.

It's not the first time, the owner of the most desirable model of Zed went absolutely ballistic with paint..

 

But everyone to their own..

Only thing that concerns me is the lack of clips on the vac hoses,especially the brake servo.

Definately different mate, certainly didn't expect that 'unique' pic of the engine bay, but at the same time, you've made it your own and you should be proud of your hard work.

 

If you're happy with it bud, then surely that makes it all worthwhile.

 

Though it might be worth cutting back on the amount of sugar you have in your tea!

thanks stellaz u are right it is to let the heat out of the bonnet and as ppl on here should know a 300zx tt heats up well and it is a good modd that works well and i did not want to put the same old colours in engine bay it worked for japfest this year women and kids liked it plus blokes liked it and said it was different and loads to look at.

 

The thing is if we all like the same thing all the cars would look the same the time spent and money on it and it has been done right and makes it easy to put it all back lol and i do all the work on the car so ant bad and have loads to do to it yet and why keep to one colour all the time ppl where saying at japfest the cars all starting to look the same u have do some things to make u stand out lol and it worked keep u all up dated with project

I think fair play to you. I'll say again it's not my cup of tea, and I did make that point earlier in the thread, and was followed up by an onslaught of similar opinions.

 

I must admit after such a response I thought you had not responded just out of "embarresment" for want of a better word.

 

However, like you said, it stands out, I get your point on the similarities on engine bay finishes, and it was a bold move that maybe you should be proud of making that decision. If you lifted the bonnet at a show. Yours would be the one that is remebered!!

well maintained cooling system does not need the bonnet lifted and it looks pants imo. But again, fair play its your car and you taste so that is that. Only thing is if you were to sell it on it would be harder to sell.

Its a fun car it would get more attnetion if you stuck a "LEGO" sticker on the engine that is the first thing that came to mind when I saw the engine. That would be funny and interesting. Take no notice if you like it then good for you, you have put a lot of work into the car.

The smooth rear panel on the tailgate looks really neat.

Engine bay is looking crazy, however it looks surprisingly very good! Im liking it!

Were did you get those dials from? The digital looking ones behind the stearing wheel?
