Oh, so it's been a while since we had an insurance roundup.

I've just had a very impressive quotation from Lyndbrook who I'll be changing my insurance to next month saving me £200+ on my existing policy. I go from having unlimited mileage to a limit of 5k a year, which is no biggy as I do about that anyway, in fact, I probably do 3,000 a year.

So, let's have every one's age, the state of their licence/no claims, what you're paying, what you get and who you're with.

Funkysi: 30 : 91 JDM TT: Full no claims + clean licence. Garaged, limited mileage (5K on classic 2nd car policy), all mods declared £285 fully comprehensive. Lynbrook.

If it was an import then it would of been another story :(

I came away from a classic car policy this year and insured it as a second car with Admiral, 43, UK manual all mods declared and was £187 for a 5000 mls limit. it means I can now use the car to comute if I want something that classic dosent usually allow, plus Im now gonna build up no claims on it as well!

As a comparision on the M3 :

£770 3rd Party Fire and Theft, 22, 3 years no claims with Adrian flux (cherished policy, agreed value @ 5k and limited to 4k miles a year) Not bad for a group 20 car!

I just got a quote from AFlux but think it might be just a little high. What do you guys think?

I'm 27 in a week, 4yrs NCB, no convictions or claims, parked in private residential carpark in SLondon, all mods declared, fully comp, mileage limited to £5k : £1,100

Is this any good? I've been paying much less since I've owned the car but without any major mods declared with Elephant.

I'm also getting quotes from Lynbrook and Houghton byt waiting for them to get back to me after sending them a list of the mods...

As i live in Northern Ireland there's only a few companies that'll even quote for me. Cheapest i found for a 31 year old with no accidents or points, but no NCB driving a 96 JDM with mild mods, parked in a private driveway overnight and limited mileage was £1200 from Elephant.co.uk !!!!!

One of the many disadvantages in living in this part of the world.
