what car should you have kept, ive had a few over the years and the only car i wish i had kept was my mk2 golf vr6, i loved that car and wish i still had it, the only reason i got rid was to fund my zed, wold have loved to have it back but it was wrote off about ten mins after selling it, the guy who bought it rolled it into a field doing stupid speed's round a tight bend

Last year was full of regrets selling up the cars I love. But at the time it was the only way out of financial situations (including losing my job after 10 years and getting a first house!)

 

First of all was my 300zx, which I sold to Z32 (now in the scrapyard) :cry:

 

 

My R32 GTR, which now lives in Sweden (with a broken engine after cheap swedish fuel was put in) :rolleyes:

 

 

and my '72 Dodge V8 - too big, too noisy, too much of an arse to own :nelson:

Honda civic type R, had it between Z's, by far the best car ive ever owned and i will defo have another, usable daily, hit the track at weekends, or throw the bikes and camping gear in. And it runs, everyday, no matter what.

Not that i dont love my Z of coarse, but you love with your heart, the brain would say what are you doing binning money into a car you can hardly ever drive.

I miss my zed but i'll have another one sometime and i've learnt alot from the ownership of that one to know exactly what i want next time.

 

I also miss my bmw 323i, was a brilliant car, second car i had @ 18 and felt rapid, sounded fantastic as well. Only had 57k on the clock when i bought it, as with all my cars, sold it for far too little. (I traded it in for my 300zx)

When all my mates had xr3's xr4's and Mantas, I went for a MK2 Supra just to be different, It was a great car and well kitted out for its time. had it for 5 years before trading it in for next to nothing. wish id had space at the time and I would have kept it!

 

Werent many about back then, and must be like rocking horse poo now.

I used to have a Manta GTE, in Barytt brown metallic (rare colour), was

an absolute minter, not sure what happened to it:(

Would be worth a few quid now.

Also had an early Calibra 16v, that was good fun, but it fell to pieces!

I would have loved to of kept my Porsche 944 (Which had been in Only fools and horses) and my Robin Hood Kit Car....... If only I had a double garage:(

Choice of two cars i had when i was a late teenager. (late 80's, early 90's))

A red MK2 RS2000, which i killed into my mates MK2 mexico.

Then my real toy, An Avon lotus sunbeam.It was white with a big blue stripe down the sides. ex rac rally car. Full roll cage, forest arches, huge exhaust (very loud) and just under 220BHP. Used to get stopped on a regular basis.

But rolled it after watching the British rallycross Grand Prix at Brands, where Will Gallop won in his 6R4.

I thought i was super fast, but not until i lost the back end on a tree stump.

Rolled 4 times into a field and took out a tree for good measure.

Thank christ it was a fully kitted rollcage.

My old 1981 2.8 Injection Capri.

I really should never of sold her. Although I replaced her with another 2.8i (5 speed) it was never as good as my old 4 speed. Even an XR4i (3 door), which was a lot smoother and in much better condition, was still no mact for the fun I had in the first 2.8 :rolleyes:

Honda Crx-del sol SiR Mugen Import. 1.6 180bhp. I loved this little baby, it had so many cool features, such as the first ever transtop electric roof, and the rear window going down :D also the bullet proof B series honda engine & a unique look to it. Never failed me ever that car, 100% reliable. :(

had a 1972 mustang mach1 manual, no brakes rubbish handling not even fast,but sounded fantastic and took off like a scolded cat and i loved her.hav'nt masterd pics yet:o

definitely my old alpina tuned 325i coupe

 

had that bout 8 years ago. Very very quick car, even more so than my Zed strangely enough. I still dont know what engine work it had but it was fast. (pics with the old wheels)

 

 

now that its summer again i do wish i had my old megane vert. It had alot of subtle custom mods to it. LED tail lights, Custom xenon headlights etc etc.

 

 

who knows i might even contact the owner in a year and see if they want to sell it again

The car I've regretted selling is my supra :( miss it madly, giving the zx a try soon though - Have loved them since I was young, so can't wait to get my mitts on one :D
