Hi all,

I've got a feeling that my Z is not handling as well as it used to. It's a jap spec 90 NA and seems to have more roll when I hit bends these days. It also feels like it's behaving a bit unpredictably when cornering at higher speeds. Is there anything I should check or am I being paranoid?

My mate's got a Boxter and he commented that he thought the handling on my Z was crap (and that was before it had got worse), will his Boxter handle better than a Z.

Cheers,

Andy

Could be old tired shocks. Mine are certainly going and I'm considering what to use as replacements. Was also considering lowering a fraction at the same time, although not too much as ground clearance is already a problem for getting into the company underground car park and the speed humps are a constant problem.

Any recomendations ?

If the Z is in top condition it should be close. You have to consider age/mileage. The boxster is also smaller and probably lighter than a Z. But lower a Z with good rubber, upgraded suspension etc and I reckon the Z is tough to beat.

Any idea of how much new shocks would set me back?

Cheers,

Andy

Nissan shocks shouls be 98 squid each, I should know as I've just had my back ones replaced on me TT.

Not sure about aftermarket ones though, depends what you want old chap???

Andy, since you have a NA, you need *special* NA-shocks...(Euro) TT shocks are different.

You might want to check with Phuong Tao from GR-racing (www.eatricezone.com).

Tyre wear could also be a factor, mine is starting to get a bit lively now that the SO2's are down to the wear markers.
