Hello.

 

Seriously considering buying an automatic 300zx with th intention to turn it into a manual in the future.

 

But my problem ....... ive never drove an automatic and was wonderign exactly how.lol

 

On the twin turbo zed, do both turbos have to kick in before it changes gear or can you change gear without the turbos coming in? Does it cost abit more cash wise on petrol if the turbos are always kicking in before changing gear?

I would like a manual that needs some work to be honest but cant seem to find a reasonably priced on i think.

Im not really 100% about this car. Only thing making me want it is its close to me and appears not to be to much needing done to it after a spray hear and there and a manual conversion. And also the fact ive never drove an auto neither.

 

I dont know what to do:|!!

Can't believe you passed on FireMAN's manual Z @ a bargain price just down the road from you- that sort of thing is rare- how cheap do you want it?

I didnt exactly pass on it. It got sold before i could get home from work. Not due home until the 4th of july!

At the moment it looks like i would be buying a zed before selling my other car so basically would like to get something under 2k or max at that price.

sorry mate have got about 10 mins a day to myself at the moment 2 pubs is killing me.....will get some photos sent as soon as i can.. but impartial advise:-

 

mine was auto when i bought it and t the time didnt know to much about autos till it went wrong,2nd and third felt a little strange after a few months then one day no gears...o.oh.

had the auto box replaced at zedworld (brilliant service thanks to jeff and jamie)..but a month down the road that auto box died too(NO FAULT OF ZEDWORLD),anyways i took the plunge and had the manual conversion and never looked back worth every single penny manual is sooooooooo much more fun and reliable anyway moral of the story buy a MANUAL....!!

am deffo selling its on fleabay as well at mo with pics and discription just aint had time to take any more might get some done today if have chance but gotta go look at new car today its just arrived from japan:hyper:

found this when i changed the carpet, it has been repaired, and to be honest i have seen some import zeds with more rust than this, infact some have been scrapped

 

 

 

all ground out and rot removed

 

 

 

all plated up and welded in, my dad does the welding, he is a time served plater welder

as for suspension, as i mentioned, it is fully height adjustable, so if you find it too low you can heighten it, front bumper sits 5 inches of the ground, sorry i havent got any pics of the speed bumps lol

its not something i could say for deffo, it only knocks over 3500 rpm, you would have to ask about, i would deffo join the rac just incase, wil have a good think about the price mate, really need at least £2300 as my debts are mounting up again lol

No bother stella. Well as i said i am awaiting some info back from jeff at zedworld.

With it needing an MOT next month and new road tax i think the offer is not to bad mate? As i said that woulld be you finally selling it as i would be looking at monday for it.

But as i said i would want to get the nodd from jeff first. Just waiting for him to pm me back.

 

You see any problems with the next MOT?

Leaky targa roofs?

targa has a mind of its own, has leaked in the past, then it stoped then it didit again, then it didnt lol, jeff knows how to adjust these properly as they were removed when it was painted

No bother stella. Is there any chance of a heads up before thursday so that if it was a go-ahead i could give jeff a ring and phone yourself. As thursday i should be travelling home so im not real obtainable that day to talk to etc. Just oviously i would need time to put things in place for traveling as i dont even now how i would get to sunderland.lol
