I have a jap NA manual. I'll soon be dropping in a TT engine from a uk auto, but keeping the car manual.

Will i be able to use the ECU from the uk auto if it is chipped?

Second question, what the feck are the other 3 boxes next to the ECU?

Cheers

Scott

Depending on version/spec under the footwell you have :

Engine ECU

Autobox ECU

Cruise Control ECU

PAS/Hicas ECU

Fuel pump ECU and ABS ECU are both in the back of the car

Cheers for the replies guys.

Yes, but, you will need a boost controller if the car is going to be a TT, as the NA ECU does not have the Boost Solenoid Control Valve circuitry.

the UK auto ECU,

is it NA or TT?

i think people are answering yes, to the fact you can use a UK or Jap ECU, and the fact that auto or TT.

but the new ECU, regardless of Jap/UK or manual/auto, will HAVE to be TT.

NA wont provide enough fuel for the TT engine.

All UK cars are TT ;)
