ok got my MOT due,

main headlight (drivers side) has blown so i know i will fail on that.

apart from that where is a good place to take it? Is the local Kwik fit ok for MOT?

is there anything i need to look out for? i have boosts solenoids unplugged with no boost controller so worrying if a little air leak sound will cause it to fail or effect the emissions.

Also regarding my car i was told i have to make sure they do not carry out something regarding emissions. If they do this "thing" i was told to avoid i will end up paying the new tax rates.

can someone clear up what i should be looking for in terms of my own car (something normal cars might miss) and in terms of the MOT. Is there anything i should make sure they DON'T carry out?

cheers again all

z32's are a non-cat test... even if you have cats fitted they cant test them

the z32 is prior to the new ratings for tax...so its £185 12mts road fund duty when i last looked

brilliant so would going kwik fit (as much as i dont like them) as they have a cheap price be ok?

i imagine going to kwik fit would be ok, i know of people who have went to local garages before.

Just give them a ring and ask if anyone has any experience with that kind of car etc... or if they will mot it.

In theory it shouldnt matter where you take it, the same standards should be applied at every MOT station :)
