Any one got a step by step guide for this job. What shocks would you reccomend for the rear.

Thanks Damo

easy job mate. strip the boot trim. undo the lower bolt on the bottom of the shock and the two on the inside of the boot and then just lift it out and put the new one in. easier with two people so you can position the shock from underneath and someone can be inside the car to tell you when it is lined up with holes correctly. depends on what you want on what shocks you get. standard may be fine if you just want a cheap replacement.

Thanks mate, looking into stock replacements. So i take it i need a spring clamp and a mate. Any idea on cost of shocks? I here KYB are good.

yes mate if you plan on using the same springs. the standard shocks are about 30-40 quid. kyb are good but more expensive.

One more question if you dont mind, I take jap spec shocks are different? I see the uk one are more expensive or am i wrong on that.

the uk ones have an electric thing on them doesnt matter as the shocks are interchangeable. just get jap ones.

can be bit potchy/time consuming.

removing them is easy, undo the 2 nuts in the boot.

then theres a larger bolt at the bottom of the strut.

when putting them back on, put them on from the bottom first, then up to the top.
