Every few days there are horrific murders reported in this country which seem to be senseless, with no real motive.

About 2 years ago there was the murder of 11 year old Rhys Davis, who was shot by a teenager whilst on his way home from football practice.

About 3 weeks ago there was the report of a lad who was tied to a tree, made to drink petrol and then incinerated.

Dano Sonnex and Nigel Farmer brutally tortured and stabbed two French students, and the psychopathic Sonnex threatened to bite off the officer's face who arrested him.

Yesterday, Jade Braithwaite 20 years, Michael Alleyne 18 years and Juress Kika, 19 years were sentenced to a minimum of 19 years for the murder by stabbing of 16 year old Ben Kinsella. This trio pursued a group of lads because one of the group had 'dissed' them with a look and mercilessly stabbed Ben. When being led to the cells they mocked the bereaved family and friends.

Grieving families left to mourn for ever, whilst psychopathic scum sue our pathetic government if their porridge has got lumps in it.

Apart from the deterrent effect of capital punishment, just think of the money we'd save on keeping the 'perps' incarcerated.

I don't advocate 'topping' people for all murders, but certainly in cases such as the above it would make me, the bereaved, and in fact all decent people feel safer and happier to see proper justice meted out.

Where do we go from here? Even when the Tories get in it won't happen, and we'll be still living in a country where scum rule ( no I don't mean MPs, I mean the street criminals.)

i read a story a few years back, in bejing (think that's where it was) they had an eye for an eye policy, they caught a man that was raping murdering and then melting the bodies of women in vats of acid, they more or less did the same to him

im all for capital punishment, hard labour and so on, the guy who runs arizona state prison has it spot on

i dont think the death penanty will ever work in this day and age and most likey has never been 100% accurate hence why ot will never be reintroduced

The argument against is the amount of people who have convictions overturned. saying that when we were in hospital for the birth of our daughter, there was a convicted paedophile in another ward surrounded by cops.....Turns out he was in for chemical castration....Now that I'm all for that.

Unless its 100% accurate thatthe people did it then you cant.

But all in all just get shot of the wastes of oxygen.

Ditto that.

It would have to be proven 100% the person did the crime, cannot be a shadow of a doubt IMHO. But if it is so, get em killed!

with all the DNA they can do now a days i think they should bring it back. but should be a slow death so it wouldnt be an easy way out for some people!

I think the death penalty should be brought back, would put people off commiting the crimes and would save tax money not having to lavish them in luxury prisons for several years.

Is it the middle east where they chop peoples hands off for stealing, good idea again why not, if your not going to commit a crime then you have nothing to worry about.

I was told about a lad the other day who has caught by the Police for two burglarys, arrested on Saturday, they keep him in police custody till Monday morning court.

Found guilty at court given a £250 fine, advised courts was not working so could not pay fine so they gave him a days remand in prison instead, but they then realised that he had been kept in a police cell all weekend, thus already spent a day on remand and let him go.

What sort of punishment is that???

i dont think they should be killed, but i dont think prison works either in its current form, i think they should be made to work for free, doing jobs that people really dont like doing, if they get 20 years then they spend the night in prison, then in the day they go out to work fixing roads or whatever needs doing, would certainly work better economically than the current set up and would make the crims think twice before going back inside,

i have lots of mates who live there lives in and out of jail and they see it as a bit of a holiday, once you get past the fear of prison for most its a period of time where certain induviduals dont have to worry about money and the other stresses of everyday jobless criminal life.

Yep as said (imo) it shoul be brought back , i'm not saying it should be dished out as a punishment for every murder/manslaughter

but if it's 100% without a doubt then they should pay for the life they had no right to take! with there own

ie - life for life

I think the death penalty is going to far we are supposed to be a civilized nation lets not get down to their level. BUT put them in jail for the rest of there lives and on hard labour that way they would be paying for there crime every day of there natural lives

so if you put somebody in jail for life, whats the point in them being alive? to the government they are dead, dont bring income etc etc just cost money. After 25 years of prison be so difficult for them to go back into society they will commit another offence to go back to jail the life they know.

I'm all for the death penalty for crimes like murder, mass rape and habitual child mollestation.

I really object to my tax money being spent on keeping said scum in jail.

With the accuracy of DNA evidence now it's daft not to.......

.........but I'm not entering into a debate about the rights and wrongs of capital punnishment - it's just my opinion and the thread starter simply asked for exactly that;)

Totally agree there. Look at the sl#t that just got caught takin photos of kids in their nursey ffs. We now have to pay approx £500 probably likely double that for security purposes to jail her. Bring back the stocks and allow the public to buy rocks to throw at her. Also pay per view hanging would be a good source of revenue. F##k 'em they crossed the line they die  all for the good of humanity as they are not fit to be called humans

sorry but i havent read the thread as too drunk but hang them all. if you can do the crime then you can pay the price. hows that without reading the thread??

perfect ...100%:duffer:

Not read the whole thread. however I try to live my life by adopting moral princi;les and standards. One of them is, killing people is a bad thing, trying to solve the problem of people killing people by killing more people seems a bit pointless.

I'd find that very difficult to agree with if someone had killed or hurt a member of my family.
