Last week I had my Zed professionally detailed by Paul Dalton of Miracle Detail. He started by doing a full "paint correction" process - which involves measuring the paint depth and then removing 1-2 microns to get rid of any light scratches, swirls etc. in order to get the perfect shine

I can't believe how well it has come out. All the swirl marks and paint blemishes are no more !! The pics below are before any wax had been applied. I had previously considered getting a full respray, but now I have no need. I am amazed that 20 year old paint can look brand new. I wasn't even aware I had stainless exhausts !!

I would have no hestitation recommending Paul's services to anyone whose paintwork is looking a bit "tired" and he does a first class job. His website is worth a look - especially at some of the cars he has worked on in the gallery. http://www.miracledetail.co.uk

I will say it wasn't cheap - but I am well pleased with the results...and with the wax he has applied - I won't have to "clean the car for 9 months - just a quick jet wash...

The price is pretty much dependant on what you want done.

Nice work Jeremy! Paint looks great. "Brazo" from detailingworld did mine after I had it painted. Wants doing again though, but it looked fantastic.

Nice image on the paintwork there.

I'd imagine that a full detail would run you at £150. But that's cheaper than a respray!

£150 is that all!!! well worth doing imo

The prices start at £350...

Paul spent 2 days doing mine - inside and out...I could now eat my dinner of my door shuts !!

Christ! A LOT more than I paid then. Mind you, I did assist Brazo and my car was stripped bare and clean and it was only a paint correction. Still cheaper than a respray!

looks great but get some picks out in the sunlight to show it of better

I was going to last weekend - but there wasn't any sun !! and I didn't want to get it wet !! :o

It's actually better out of the sun. Get some reflection shots under trees or next to buildings. :)

I wonder how well he could get a Pearl White Z looking... One of the most awkward car colours I have ever came across..

Si, it does look brilliant mind. I now see why you hardly venture out in it lol, did you get the whole car re-sprayed the Nissan factory pearl white?.. If I was to respray mine, it would probably be in a TVR Pearl white with hints of purple "SpectraFlare" :D .. Also I think the nissan pearl has like a yellowy tinge to it? :-/ it's still lovely, but at times can look a bit dull..

A friend of mine owns Perfection Detailing (http://www.perfection-detailing.co.uk) and I help him out with this sort of thing from time to time (I did work for him full time at one point).

If anyone wants anything doing on their Z feel free to give me a shout.

Yeah, it yellows a lot more over time. Has a kind of cigarette stain appearence to it out of the sunlight.

But new KH6 paint is much more fresh, brighter and crisp. I do actually wish I'd done it in the newer super white pearl, but I wanted to keep it original and didn't want to have to take the engine out etc. So went for a full bow over.

Its absolutely stunning mate as it is, I just hope mine turns out that well when I decide to have her sprayed.

They look great!!

However allot of money.

I think my paintwork is way beyond restoring as it was a budget respray and shows, was a temp fix as i wanted to spend the money on mechanical and concentrate on the exterior once its running a spec im happy with.
