I really like these rear lights but would they be legal here without a reflector as per oem lights ? Could this be got round with stick-on reflectors on the bumber for example ? (I know that sounds horrid !)

They are interesting, but hell, they won't suit the centre panel one single bit. I've seen close up photos of these and photos of the backing planes and they have absolutely hateful build quality.

Currently £143 + Shipping + Import Duty + Agents Commission (assuming you're using an agent)

But they do look good, seen them in Japan before, and as above probably wouldn't be a problem as long as they work!

Very tempting....think I even prefer them to 99 spec lights. I've seen them on US Ebay too. IMO about the best alternative rear lights I've seen :)

Mark

i like them and seen em on ebay america though thought there was an issue with the reflector for them over here?

Dan,

Do you mean the translated one, or the ClearCorners.com one?

The Japanese ones do not have reflectors so you would have to put some other sort of reflector on the rear. As for the ClearCorners ones they come with the standard reflector still in place.

I agree with Daves_Zed, Clearcorners is the only aftermarket lighting I would fit to my Z, you pay that bit extra..but you still get OEM items which they modify to l.e.d.

I've attached some pictures of the rear lights from ClearCorners which I was sent when I filled out my order, you can see they still have the reflectors on & they also do an all clear-rear which I think looks pretty good :D

They have them on ebay (the ones in japan) for half that price. They look ok in the pic but they are very cheap and poor quality. That plastic is so thin that those things would blow away in the wind.

I agree Dave the Clearcorners.com lights are fantastic ! But how much ???

If I had the budget I would order the whole set - front, rear and sides.....and for sure the full clear spec on the rear :)

iv just orded a similar set of those from japan except mine are not smoked and are from the US. im planning to fit some LEDs also Will post some pics once i have it fitted

is that right $1900 + delivery + customs ect for the clear ones i put up earlier?

Yep, clearcorners stuff is way overpriced.

and the ebay ones are very cheap and tacky.

Stick to 99spec OEM.

Just to mention i had a 325i fail an mot on the rear clear lights due to no rear reflector's had to put the old one' back on to get it through :(

the year after at another garage swapped them over before hand and it went straight through
