lol yeh maybe wrong on the cheap to run or fix up, but to buy there cheap as chips..

Ok next question what are the bad points ?

i have a cheap one that needs fixing, spent thousands on it already and with todays climate, i just cant afford to fix

none that i can think of, just the same as anycar really you buy a bad one and it will be a money pit.

Suspension on a lot of them are shot. so that would be the 1st mod.

Had mine 3 weeks now & i love every second i spend in it. I thought the same thing N/A or TT, i wanted a TT but after 2 months i found nothin in my price range, then i found a met black swb manual N/A. Youve just gota way up the pros & cons, cheaper insurance, no tubs to go pop, i bought the car for it's looks but it'll be by no means slow wen ive had it tuned. But having said all that, if speeds your thing grab yourself a TT.

ok heres the thing im not a boy racer, i wana car that turns heads and a car doing 300mph is not a seen car, but i dont want a car like this to fart its way to the shops if u get my drift ;P

The zed 300zx is a different beast, some are good, some are very bad. When looking for one, make sure its been well looked after, and it has evidence to back up any 400bhp claims

there are some serious power non turbos, and twin tubs. if you find one you like the look off, post it on here, and see if someone can go over it with you.

Ive had a TT jap AUTO, Now a UK TT Manual, both fantastic cars for what you get. But the manual is loads of fun.

Make sure the body is good, if it needs a bit of tlc, its worth it, but if it needs loads, unless you know what you are doing, walk away.....

go get a loan then buy mine, it may seem expensive compared to those peppered ones but the price is there for a reason.

pmsl, i know what ya mean, at least im honest, £2650 will get you mine, will pay for the deposit on a new car lol

That is fookin' hideous! The Veilside kit, you'll quickly learn, is the most hated and least loved on this website. 95% of people hate it! LOL

If you like it, go for it, but it'll be known as "that Z with the 'orrible bodykit".

Hi mate,

Firstly welcome!

I've had 3 zeds now, an NA which was great (until someone drove into it) a Jap TT bought from a garage/trader that was nothing but trouble and I have just purchased a members car which is without the best decision I ever made... So if you're serious about buying one then I recommend that you at least check the cars for sale on here...

Now they will cost more than the cars on the trader or ebay but they are honest cars and you can check the history by going back through members posts etc. if you like.

Oh... one last thing... DO NOT buy the first one you see go and look at a few, if you come back to the first so be it, and if the owners are making power claims make sure they have Dyno Graphs and/or receipts for work carried out to get it to that power, remember the cars (TT) came from the factory with 280bhp and with a little effort and cash can see 320 bhp easily but if they're claiming 400 bhp with no supporting mods then walk away.

If you do a little research on here then talk to seller, drop in a few easy tech questions if they answer them then it'll probably be worth going to see, if they say something along the lines of ' dunno mate I just drive the car' then probably not worth going to see, remember these are enthusiasts cars now and as such most owners will/should have at least a little tech knowledge. Oh and just so you know parts and running Costs aren't cheap, they're also not massively expensive...

When you get one though you won't look back!!!!

Anyhow that's just my thoughts...

Thanks

Paul
