I have had a quick look through the searches yet I couldn't find anyting in releation to the noise I am getting from my car...

Basically, as of last night.. I was driving into a car park, I turned full lock fairly quickly.. The steering wheel felt a little bit harder to turn for a second or 2.. then it went back to normal.. I straightened it up in the bay, but then I could hear like a "whirring/buzzing" noise as I turned the wheel, like the steering pump is working hard.. it's never done this before and I was wondering why it was doing it..

My levels are fine, no hicas warning light & tyre pressures are spot on...

Any thoughts or ideas guys?

My levels are fine,

Are you sure that your levels are fine? It sounds like low fluid levels to me from a possible leak or the pump actually giving problems.

Leaking pump? i had to have mine reconditioned as it was leaking fluid all over my belts and screeching! sounds like similar symptoms i had although mine still does this when cold?

yeah check the hoses are all done up tight, could be getting air in the system. I had a loose clip, made it groan on full lock.

does sound like low levels, when you look in the resivour it may look full, try topping it up and make sure it is full

Yeah as Stellaz said, try topping up. Do so when you lock the steering to the left and right. As a previous said, there may be air in the system

I think I will give it a Top up and check the belt, i've got it sussed now.. or so I think.. it happens when the car is cold, and also at low speeds.. just need to work out how to check the belt.. everything else i've read about this car seems to be an engine out job lol - hopefully this isn't lol

- Thanks for the help guys!
