in with the new.......

Another job been waiting for months that I finally did today. Just about due I'd say too. The last one of these I installed came with 4 brackets that were a bit of a pain to install to the chasis, this one didn't. Made the job a little quicker, still cut f##k out of my arms getting the airbox off but got it off in 1 piece again without having to cut it off. other side of filters was clean as a pin so at least they were doing a good job and they were oem's

I've only had it ticking over so far gonna take it out for a romp later. Doesn't seem any louder yet but I had one on my white zed and when driving that one it was louder

That's the A'pexi one. I have that. Didn't find it to hard to remove. You don't really notice any performance increases. It's more of a complimentary mod. It just feels like the engine is breathing more easily. You can hear a bit of wastegate chatter though!

good grief did you have a band of Albanian Gypsies chain smoking tar-filled tree trunks next to those air filters you took out ?? :) :)

getting the t pipe out I found was the hardest part also taking the top of the airbox off gave a lot more room still had to bend the airbox subframe to get it out which was quite awkward is done now though nice and clean :D and a lot easier to change in the fututre

If you ain't done already, it's worthwhile re setting the ECU now so it starts learning the new influx of air :)

will it not do that over time anyway? thought that's what maf's did. will pull the battery tonight anywhoos to reset it

The ECU should really be re set with any modification that alters air or fuel to the system. If anything it's been registering for a long time a decline in air entering as the old panels got older and clogged up, now you want it to suddenly register an increase over the best possible stock reading.

To ensure it does it correctly and right away too, a re set ECU is the best option :)

will an hour with the battery disconnected surfice? that'll give me time to finish off cooking and eating dinner I can go out and play then

Yeah that will be plenty. once you disconnet the battery press the brake pedal down to get rid of any little power left in the car :)

took it out after resetting the ecu sounds a little different in a good way cant notice any performance difference though didn't really expect to.At least it's all clean now and easier to keep clean than the airbox
