This might sound a bit mental but is there any legal requirement to have the boot in place whilst driving? :)

The reason i ask is the tailgate is coming off my breaker tonight and i might need to drive it tomorrow for a few miles.

Can i just say it's a pick up? lol

Cheers

I don't think there is a legal requirement to have the bootlid/tailgate in place. it is no different than a cabriolet where only the back of the roof opens / folds down.

its not structural either, I cant imagine it being a legal issue.

It will be very noisy and cold however if your going on the motorway

I know its a legal requirment to be able to open your boot.............isnt it? :s

I drove mine through the center of Nottingham twice with no bonnet.Got some Guys video in it hanging out a taxi window and loads of looks.LOL

Show off

also the fumes will be sucked in too,

If it's a nice day, just take your targa's off (or only one if it's raining ;) ) that way you won't suck in the zorst fumes due to it not creating a vacuum
