Why? It would still make it a series 1 regardless of plate?

You can't assign a plate to any car in an attempt to make it appear newer than it actually is. A very old DVLA rule there.

Why? It would still make it a series 1. Series 2s have different trim, electronic HICAS and various other differences.

 

the only reason i mentioned s2 is because J/k reg is when the series 2's began

ahh i see , its different over here in N.Ireland , we can keep the UK plate or re-reg for free and choose a plate from any of the counties , for example FEZ 2232 is county antrim i think , and BEZ , armagh , and TAZ , derry , etc etc . is dosnt matter the age of the vehicle .
