I went for improved stock, I like the standard look with small detail changes to make them more upto date looking.

Definitely improved stock. No large ironing boards stuck on tailgates.

Improved stock (appearance wise) is the ONLY way to go IMO....apart from some choice wide arch kits and Stillen/Impul extensions/skirts. The Z32 is near-perfect stock. Nissan designers got it right straight from the box. After all, they spent litterally millions of pounds and thousands of man-hours designing something for the elite GT league, not to have someone turn it into some horrific abortion with ugly vented wings, minging lights and rabbit-hutch front bumpers. Just a few minor upgrades are needed to make it look perfect (usually with stock products). Some people just change things 'because they can' or 'to be different', as a result often turn something sexy and sleek into something chav and laughable. Not needed IMO and not really to make the car look any better in the process, more often, the complete reverse. IMO, a clean Z is far more appealing and eye catching than an Airfix kit on wheels. Don't see Ferrari or Porsche owners grafting on ugly bodykits etc all that often, so never understood why someone would want a ruin something as beautiful as the Z32 by doing the same thing.

Keep as much fibreglass in the harbour as you can. More people will appreciate a clean stock-ish Z than some horror with half a boat grafted onto it and some nasty paint.

I personally think the despoilered with 99 spec updates bumper rear lights etc looks the best, nice clean lines and has the profile Nissan intended.

Heres one of mine from the side I just think it look sleek and sexy, its a shame my 99 spec bumper got destroyed so i settle for a stock one and still think they look great for a 20 year old car.

Improved stock? - depends how much 'improving' is involved! That's what I voted for anyway, assuming it is fairly subtle.

Si, you talk a lot of sense!

Looking at mine i have some 99spec bits (Front Bumper and Rear Lights) but i also have the Veilside bits too (Skirts, Rear Bumper and Spoiler) i would however like to someday replace the spoiler for a less intrusive one! Perhaps the Mid-level one! So i would consider my car more of a Modified car than Improved Stock if looking at Exteriors.

If i had it to do over again i'd go stock - i'd make it into a completely stock minter. When i bought it i wanted to change this that and the other and i do love it as it is now BUT i can't help looking at completely stock jap examples and loving them!

I presume when you say "modified" you mean aftermarket bodykits parts becuase the cars typically refered to as Improved stock like Funkysi's and steve300zx's are actually more modified than most of the cars on the forum.

yes, I was mainly talking about funki-si's. It is easily identifiable as a 300, but has been tweaked to make it look so much better

I think the stock front bumper is the best out of the lot of them, dont think it will look right with viper wings, sideskirts, rear bumper and different spolier

well unless your going to completly modify the whole car and take it in a different direction,,then a few mods here and there is the best way ,,personal choice

My thoughts too.

Subtle things like wheels, 99-spec rear lights and if you want to spend a bit extra, a 99-spec front bumper. Oh and the clear side repeaters are a must!

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Goes to show that the stock lines of the Z are by far the most pretty. Nothing comes close.

That's a nice car, don't think that rear bumper is stock??

Do you think a standard car with this kind of rear bumper and viper wings would look good??

Nope, it's not stock. Kaminari rear bumper and skirts. Kaminari rear spoiler too. There are tasteful things about, but as you can see, they are still in-keeping with the cars original lines.

I dont think anything with Viper wings will look good !!

If i was gona spend the dosh on any of the kaminari items (one of the nicest kit's i've seen for a Z) imo

then i would'nt wanna put viper wings on it , it's ur car and choice though;)

 Too true! Viper wings are awful. Suit the Z like Jo Brand in a leotard. Not just ugly, but pointless too.

That's nice, but shame he's chosen the Wings West type skirts. I've never understood this as a design peice. The overall skirts aren't too bad, but why the fieldmouse vent? It serves no purpose and is a blot on a smooth landscape; a complete afterthought. It just looks really silly.
