Bruce Dickinson was our co pilot then captain a few times when we flew with Astraeus Airlines, Great rock voice , up there with the best of em in my opinion

I went to see them a few years ago at reading festival and they were highly entertaining, like Spinal Tap on acid

as for bruce dickinson, well he never really sounded any different to paul di'anno so you should like the earlier stuff too :cool::cool:

I used to be a big fan and have all their early stuff.

Just sold a mint limited edition First 10 Years CD single box set on eBay for £130 as I don't really listen to them anymore.

Powerslave is definately one of the best albums IMO.

In our acoustic set we perform a very dark, slowed down, stripped back version of "Can I Play With Madness"...

And funnily enough the first "music" T Shirt I ever bought when I was about 13 bore the uber-cool artwork to "Stranger In A Strange Land". Derek Riggs rules.

just heard wasted years by iron maiden how fantastic is that???:)

Sure is - I played their "Best of" cd in the car a few weeks back and I'd forgotten how good they were:bow:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Surely, it has to be "run to the hills"...

I too had stranger in a strange land (was that on Somewhere in Time) on my first rock t-shirt... Happy days! Wore it so much, people used to think it was a tattoo... :slap:

Ay - just downloaded "Somewhere in Time" from itunes... cheered my morning right up that has... Spot the middle-aged tosser headbanging at his desk... :smw:
