'Red cars with white wheels' is probably the very WORST colour combination. Generally white wheels absolutely suck to high heaven. Only 'SOME' colours wear them well and only a very very few wheel styles wear the colour well.

 

I think it would absolutely ruin the look of your car Joel. Horrid cheap look that white wheels generally have ESPECIALLY on a red car. Couldn't think of anything worse! :hurl:

 

There are infact only 2 Zs I've EVER seen where white wheels have worked well. That was down to a combination of wheel design and car body colour. Neither car was red I might add!

 

If I think of 'red car with white wheels' I think of this...horrid horrid colour combination. Absolutely vile!

not sure, to be honest it depends on the style of wheel , possibly a white centre with polished rim deep dish would look very cool , if you were going to go down the red car white rim route , and its all about personal choice here ! then just try and avoid the pitfalls ....like making it look like a stretched 106 rallye or a squashed Mk1 escort multi spoke or star patern would do just that in white ....detomaso did it it very well with Pantera in the red and white colour combo looked very aggresive

White and red looks fantastic, i think if you get the correct size, mibi 18" it would look good mate, who cares what other people on hear might think.....your car....your choice.

 

Im thinking on a red zed and if i get it its going to be either white alloys or black with a polished rim.

My mate has a red MR2 with white wheels... does look really good. Certainly does depend on the car really, but with the right wheel choice you could be onto a winner. Its your car after all so if you think it looks good then go for it ;)

i have always liked the style of wheel and have lusted after these puppies for some time. my ideal combo would be a white swb with these girlies in white but i dont really wanna commit to such an expensive repaint. i remember a few years back a video titled dream driveway or something where a back street was filmed with all sorts of exotic jap cars... one of them was a red 300zx with tasty white wheels on. i kinda liked it... but kinda didnt too :rolleyes:

 

the te37's are available in black white and bronze... out of those options the white would be my first choice. also, i really liked the red 200sx from z009 with the white rotas on:

 

 

 

 

 

i think with no ott styling and a nice vivid red... it actually looks very unique... doesnt it? :confused: i didnt expect si to approve as he is very set with a particular taste/style, which i very much like myself, though i do have a wild side that ruins any rational thought and makes me want to do odd things like putting white wheels on a red car! also, that corsa would look awful no matter what colour you painted it. if done with clean styling and the right wheels, i think a zed can look good with any colour combination.

Not a good look IMO. Gives it a cheap look. If they were silver, it would look far nicer.

personally i dont like white wheels. did see a nice set with a polished lip once though

I seen a really nice set of rays before, that i would try and get if i wanted white wheels.

 

They are practically the same but they didnt go in at the middle and where of a brighter white, someone had the on ebay, i recommend finding them, they looked nice than the above ones.

Im not 100% sure about the white on red, they look best in the 3rd pic...but thats becuase I think they look more silver there.

 

I reckon the bronze would look better.
