You not fancy that for yourself Al - its mental :D:D:D

£8k for a mint AC Schnitzer!! whats the world coming to??

Aint nothing about it thats anything to do with AC Schnitzer apart from the spoiler thats been nailed on the back...! (speaking of which, it will need a new bootlid as they have used steel bolts which have rusted ;) ) Might be genuine parts but certainly not factory/dealer fit!

I'd find alot more out about it. They are VERY expensive cars to run and the servicing can be prohibitive, it needs a FULL history and get it checked over by BMW before taking it off his hands. Its not to say that its not a bargain but id hate to see you lumbered with somthing you cant get rid of because i have to say most M5 buyers will have done their homework.

true, but its stilla nice motor. Alan, when you hitting the nurburgring? I live 2 hours or so away, well up for meeting you there.

does that have the v8 with chrome bores that like to de-chrome after a certain number of miles:(

Nikasil. Nope. That was the 92-95 V8 and some of the Straight-6's

does that have the v8 with chrome bores that like to de-chrome after a certain number of miles:(

nope... Well at least i don't believe so... the nikasil liner issue was solved by march/april 98... However as said previously check it out with BMW first, these cars need as much care as a zed otherwise they will break!!!!

Nice brake kit though!!!

Good luck with whatever you decide to do!:duffer:

how would i check with bmw, what would i need to ask and where would i go

Dont worry, its not an issue. Like I said it only affected the M52 and M60 engine.

It's well worth considering if you ask me. (makes note of his number.........) jokin bud, lol

Sorry mate, Legarth is right... What i should have said is check with BMW re. the service history, if you give their customer services a call with the reg. they should be able to tell you what was done when... anyhow as said previously good luck with what ever you decide to do!!!!
