Suddently my zx started to smoke huge from the tail pipes. One day later started to smoke from under the bonet as well, just when i start the engine, for a bit. Where should i go to repair it? The car is highly modified. Thanks

you can get 400bhp out of a stock engine with stock tubs. salvage all you can from the old engine ( as long as its in good nick) and while the engine is out of the car do what you can afford to do to it before you put it in.

I have bought a 300zx modified 5 and a half months ago from WRC sales. I drove the car for about 250 miles then it broke down. The *******s from WRC did not want to involve with the repaires...and i had to go to a garage. My car is still at the same garage even 2day...the machanic keeps lying to me that he is waiting for some parts or he had to do some modifications to his garage etc. After finding out that cilinder heads were cracked i had to buy a second hand engine and he is putting my other modified parts from the original engine to the second hand one(pulleys, turbos and other). I went to the garage last week and the engine was still 20% in bits. I have paid him already £2000.... I just want to know if it is my right to take my car from his garage and send it to Zedworld? thank`s

Id damn well say so, and if he kicks up a stink phone the police and say its theft, that's taking the P a bit, i feel for you on the car too, as I've just bought one that blew after just 18miles, im now looking at a engine swap for my new one sometime this week.

 

Get your car back and go take it to Zed world, I've heard nothing but good praise from them, if mine all goes tits up, ill be talking to Jeff also, only reason its not at Jeff's this moment is i have a baby being born sometime soon, so most of my funds are on hold until the new arrival.

Hi everyone! After 8 months in the garage and £7600 later I finally am back on the road. I just want to know if someone can recommend a good dyno testing garage? I have to set up the engine management and the suspension and I am alright.

I have quite a good lot of mod`s on my baby so I am ready for next meeting. When is it gonna be? Cheers

Ohhh Hi Jeff. I`ve had loads of problems with the person who suppose to fix my car. I have explained this on saturday to the lady who answered the phone. As you can see this person overcharged me but that is not all. IHe new that I was going to pick up the car on saturday and he would not answer the phone on friday. Before that we`ve had an argument because my car was still 20-30% in bits on monday when I went to visit him. He promissed like everytime that my car will be ready by the end of the week... That man is a liar. But enyway, I will go 2day and pick up the car coz only last evening and after I got a solicitor to get in touch with him he would talk to me. The car is not 100% ready. It`s still needs mapping, two air filters, two blow of valves, weel alignment and I want the suspension up 3-4cm. The person who fixed my car said that at this point the engine might run lean or rich... we dont know untill we set it up. My question to you is can you do all that for me? If so can I drive it to your garage myself? Thank`s and hope you understand my situation.

Probably dry joints at the back of the speedo. Have a check.

So Lorenzo! Are you saying you now have your car back from your incompetent mechanic and you are expecting everything to work!!! :shock:

 

Suggest you re-book it in with Jeff (if he will have you again) and get it checked over so you know it's ok - or NOT as the case may be. :rant:

I did not want to miss Jeff`s appointment but if my car was loked in my "tuner`s" garage what could I do? I have called the police and they advised my to go to trading standards or customer blablabla they would not get involved. I was in a very dificult position and I hope Jeff will understand. I would go to Zedworld but as I have paid this person a lot of money it will take me a while to recover.....:headvswal

Yeah... But the guys from IA Motorsport told me I don't need remap. So I am happy! Today I've been to D2 and had my oil changed. My car runs excellent! Love it!
