just a quickie ,had my discs ,calipers and pads replaced ,wheel alignment done, carpulls to the left upon braking and during normal driving. any ideas guys?

Caliper seized or air in the system on one side. Good idea to do a complete fluid flush.

All the work was done at zedworld!

fluid replacement was done same time as the calipers and discs.

what pads were they ?????

ive fitted ebc brakes a number of times to different vehicles and found a few sticking problems especially after driving the vehicle a few miles ,once they bed in they get better, but id go for ferodo pads they seem good value for money also braking feels good....

check you wheel nuts or if you have time take your wheel off and have a visual inspection.....

Take it back and let them correct it fella.

been down that road bud!!

all i got when i picked the car up was if anymore problems you can take it back to them?

and during normal driving

if it's pulling during normal driving it suggests it's an alignment issue - unless a caliper's sticking...

So just to confirm you replaced the calipers bud ???

For the same type? and why ?

But it does sound like a sticking caliper to me.

As your in Birmingham and they said to you, "any more problems, take it back to them" have you done this yet or spoke with them ?

cheers

calipers supplied and fitted by zedworld, with new discs and pads(old calipers seized). location of garage that does tracking is literally round the corner from zedworld as it is where they took it, second time for tracking, Zedworld said"anymore problems take it back to them" oh boy i love the after care :wack:

Did it pull to the left before the work was done?

Or after the brakes were changed, but before the tracking was done?

Or after the tracking was done (unlikely I know cos that's why it was taken there!)

Assuming its after the brakes were done....take it back to Zedworld again......

If it pulled to the left before the work was done, then obviously the brakes were never the issue and further (chargeable) investigation is required.

Good luck Fella.

Hi Romaine

Just to help your recollection of the work done and in what order

Inspection October 2008 Mileage 89,351

Paint and corrosion issues

Sticking calipers ( UK zed )

Badly scored discs

N/S hicas arm

Return for work to be done Nov. 2008 mileage 89,403

Discs pads, calipers replaced and brake fluid.

Return for work Feb 2009 Mileage 89,739

MOT

Replace hicas arm

4 wheel Tracking ( done by local tyre bay)

Return for work March 2009 Mileage 89,966

Complete underseal

Fit new exhaust

4 wheel Tracking ( done by local tyre bay again) NO CHARGE

Ok now that makes it clearer for yourself and other to see that given the original tracking was only done as there was evidence of excessive tyre wear, and this been some four hundred miles after the brakes were done any issue with pulling will NOT be connected to them.

Having the tracking adjusted correctly( checked twice now) has eliminated any alignment issues, speaking to the guys at the tyre bay they have confirmed that, tyres worn by incorrect alignment can still cause pulling even when it is corrected as the shape of the tyre tread is not flat.

Of course Romaine they are only too happy for you to return and they will demonstrate the full alignment set up for you.

Please if you not 100% happy please contact the tyre bay or ourselves, however new tyres are the most likely next step.

Hi Jeff, it would help if i was told this( we recommend replacing your tyres because of tyre wear!!) instead of any problems with tracking then take it back to them yourself. Well it didnt help me . Im trying to get this zed back on the road running and looking half decent. As you well know the bodge up done to this car before i owned it and my mate not spending the money on it. Feedback to your cutomers helps a lot.You are busy ,i understand! But this is not the first time that a job was not done accordingly. I personally think it is down to every individuals standard of work. some are happy others are not. I have been down this same road before when i owned my Audi S6, just a little advice would of sufficed.

if the car pulls when not under braking then its very unlikly to be the brakes.

Check the tyres mate. as you have had it traked a number of times.

try swaping the tyres front to back at first see if anything changes . then go from there.

yu wouldnt believe how many times a tyre cause problems and yet there the last thing people check .

daz.
