I'm going to be getting my engine rebuilt in the next few weeks and was toying with the idea of painting/colourcoding various parts (plenum/cam covers/etc) but aside from red and black, I'm not sure what else would look good....so...can you post up any pics of sexy looking bays to give me some ideas?

This was my effort, proud of my throttle linkage springs, they are not meant to be orange like you normally see thats rust!

Smithy, is it safe enough to paint the rocker covers or do you need high temp paint? I want to stick a polished plenum on so was going to paint my rocker covers at the same.

I used hammerite high temp spray paint. Well worth the extra effort with a polished plenum.

 

Are those braided pipes?

yep made em myself, steel pipes, covered in overbraid, with silicone couplers and clamps holding it all together.

hmmm...very interesting! Do you know if the steel braid can be painted/coloured at all? Possibly with a fine spray so as to keep the pattern visible?
