Hi all, my wife and i are expecting a baby in the next few months and as much as my heart tells me to keep the Zed my head tells me otherwise. So i've made the desicion to sell it, but i'm not sure how much to put it up for? I know prices are fairly depressed at the momment and the usual answer to the post title is ' what someone will pay for it'. I thought £1500, what do you think?

The bad bits

The wheels need a refurb

The paint is in poor condition i.e. Some kind fellow has keyed the drivers side (front to back):mac1:. Laquer is lifting on the passenger front wing.

Someone smashed the plastic on the drivers wing mirror.

The paint is lifting on the rear spoiler.

The turbo's are starting to smoke

I do have a fibreglass spoiler to go on, but have never got round to fitting it. I also have a replacement wing mirror but this is in silver.

Thanks for your input, Mark

Mark,

TBH mate i think you might struggle..

Paint in poor condition, wheels need refurb, broken wing mirror and smoking turbos.... i know its honest but it's not he best for sale add....

With the performance bits you have it would be more lucrative to break it,

This is just my honest opinion, i maybe well off and it is worth it, but the way you have described it i dont think i would part with £1500 for it..Sorry

No worries neil, I know i'd get more money if i broke it for the parts, but with a nipper on the way i won't have the time. I don't want to mislead anyone so i've tried to be honest about the condition.

Cheers, Mark

An that wil go along way mate...

It looks tidy in you sig pic, and i do like the colour. wuld it not be worth a few quid spent on it? like wheels refurbs, and getting the paint buffed out if it can be? maybe getting a full detail on it might help......maybe even get a replacement wing mirror..

With the turbos sounds like theseals have gone if you have put on the decat pipes. it is a risk and and a well known after affect of doing it... shame really.

And honesty is always the best policy.

So mybe just add ONO to that £1500 and put it up for sale.

only time will tell you if its acheivable.

If not then you will have to take less.

And you wont get anymore for it in parts as the market is saturated with breakers.

Thanks for the advice guys. With my missus taking a years maternity i just won't have the cash to sort all of the bits and pieces out. The pic in my sig was taken a few years ago now before scumbags decided to damage it.

I know its been said before but whenever anyone asks how much these cares are worth they are always surprised. Where else could you get a car that will do 170-180mph for such little money!

Cheers, Mark
