The manifolds came in last week so got the turbo fitted in place this weekend, oil lines on the way. I collected the front bumper from the paint shop so I can now mock up the intercooler and find a rad to fit. The turbo flange needs rotating about 10 degrees but apart from that it fits!!

possibly put twin rads where the OE intercoolers are and fit a FMIC in sloped at an angle in the space in the front bumper ?? i think the origonal renault 5 gordini turbo had twin small rads like that , might be wrong there though . its looking good by the way !!!

Awsome but how is the rad going to fit???!

Will use a different rad, did it before when I supercharged a Pug 205 MI16, used a volvo rad as it was narrower but thicker so cooled it ok. I will fit the intercooler mock up and work from there with the space I have, I usually go to a breakers with the max measurements and see what I can find. Rads are labelled up with the cars they came out of so can order a new one if needed.

Hmmm..... another road to expore if needed, thanks.

Looks great mate, keeping a watch as always on this one :D Should be interesting to see what the benefits are of running the single turbo over twin

heres an idea for you, shove an extra supercharger where the rh turbo and aitcon pump used to be! Would fit and you could use the underdrive pully :)

next thing is the get a custom plenium with a big ass single throttle body :)

Nice work! You can prob fit an inclined rad (or intercooler) like I have on mine then fit something in the original cooler locations. If it were mine I think I'd fit the rad there then a charge cooler with it's rad in the stock intercooler locations.

how is the twin throttle bodies thing going to work?

I will use a 'Y' shaped hose to split the flow off the intercooler.

Anthony this is one thread i keep watching.

i admire that you have the nuts to do it, and each time it appears a bit more is done, you should take alot of credit towards it, nice to see someone trying differnt approaches rather than the norm.

Stu has said what ime thinking:bow::bow:

I admire what your trying to do, my concerns would be the length of pipework from the manifolds to the turbos and the stresses on them with a big turbo hanging off them. Also the pipework and welds look really rough to me, ive seen some of the worlk leon has done and his are a work of art, be it very expensive works LOL

Be interesting to see how it runs and the power it makes once finished :)

The pipework needs to be polished hence why they don't look as good as the first manifold. I have had the same concern with the turbo weight so once the oil lines are in and the p/s pump back in place I am going to make up a bracket to help support it. Although there is no movement at all with it sat on the pipework unsupported.

Trying! Fitted the rear bumper and springs/shock and dropped her back on the deck tonight. Tomorrow the fronts if the camber bits arrive. Monday is intercooler/front bumper and oil feed/return. I want to get it done for Japfest but I can tell it's going to be tight!!
