well i have decided not to change my broken autobox for another and just to go for a manual conversion. started my new job last week so will have money again to do it lol, im looking for a shopping list of parts that i will need for my mechanic to do it, just so i can by them piece by piece rather than having to shell the lot out at the one time. also is there any other bits i should do while doing the conversion?

have you looked on ebay ? I´m sure I saw a complete "auto to manual" conversion set for a Z which listed all the parts it incorporated ?

TBH bud, any one breaking a Man zed will be very reluctant to sell just a little bit.. it then means they cant sell the kit as a whole, and then run the risk of having it sit around for ages. Complete kits are normally snapped up for around £700 so it's good money to have sitting around.

 

You could try spaking to Paul and SWZ or even JeffTT.. they might be ale to point you in the right direction.

yeah was thinking that, to be honest in a few weeks il have the money there to just go out and get it just want to get started i cant remember what it feels like to actually drive the car with more than 2 gears lol

I'm doing the conversion bit by bit, all I now need is the clutch pedal/master cylinder assembly, and the words 'Rocking horse' and 'Shite' come to mind.... ;-)
