the problem i have is that i have a koyo radiator and a electric fan and sensor is in the pipe coming out from the engine and there is not enough room to add the hose adapter...

can i add the hose adapter on the return from the radiator going back into the engine?

will i get a good engine temp reading or would you suggest something else...?

I would say no not a good engin reading at thats the water that has already been cooled.

Why can you not get an adaptor and fit it into the top rad hose?

Not too sure what the whole issue is but, if the sensor is set a given temperature to start the electric fan????? You will need to install it before the water is cooled down by the radiator, otherwise it will never kick the fan in in to gear. Put a picture on here of the sensor and pipe adapter, I bet someone has installed one on the site before.

sorry your getting the wrong idea i cant get both adapters on the top rad hose.... dont have enough room with electric fan sensor already there...

I currently have the same problem, ive bought some alloy rad pipes so i have to ditch the adaptor on the top hose then im using the stock sensor for my aftermarket temp gauge and then fitting a viscous as it would be to much of a pain in the arse to keep the electric fan...

hope this helps
