one thing comes to mind when i watch the real hustle, its not how clever the hustlers are, its not how stupid the marks are, its the pure greed of both parties that leads them to success and failure

for the hustlers its greed that drives them to be able to have the front to perform some of the hustles they do, they will have already accumulated vast amounts of money, but greed drives them to want more and makes them very convincing and cheeky enough to perform the hustles

for the marks, they are told that they wil recieve more money than they put in, again its pure greed that seems to make them morons, most of the marks are quite clever and rich people already, but its the thought of being able to make even more mney easily that seems to make them put their brains in their pocket and act like idiots

now im not saying i will never be hustled, it may happen, but maybe its because ive never had much and will never want for much out of my grasp, but are some people so greedy that they will fall for such easily noticed pranks

or s it just cause im seeing it on the tv that i know its a hustle so i can spot the giveaways and tricks of a hustle before they happen

so is it just pure greed that does it, or is it that they are just that good/geedy ??????

I would say that it is greed/stupidity and also a very clever and well planned hustle. We all like a bargain and these hustlers create the illusion of such. I think most would just consider themselves incredibly lucky to come across such deals and fall blindly into the hustlers trap, others are skeptical resulting in the hustlers trying heavily to appeal to their sense of greed (which they do extremely well).

I think you would be right in saying that because you are aware that the people on the t.v are performing a hustle, that you manage to pull yourself away from what is going on and think 'wow, how stupid are these people?'. We are all very greedy people and we do not hesitate to cease a bargain.

We should consider ourselves fortunate to have such t.v shows around, because I'm sure none of the marks on these shows expected to be hustled when they left the house.
