..do you think a garage would charge for soldering 6 injector connectors - replacing the old ones...?

Featured Replies

Probably an hours labour. Can't think off the top of my head what it takes (ie how long) it would take to remove the plugs from the injectors (I'm sure someone will be a long who knows), but the actual soldering won't take more than an hour, and that is what most garages will charge as a minimum.

Soldering is straight forward, as long as the wires are in decent condition. Why not try it yourself? If you are not sure, Google is your friend. You will be able to find a tutorial online.

Getting back to the thread topic, a word of warning Jeremy, if you decide to solder in the new connectors yourself disconnect the battery first because the 12v supply is permanently live to the injectors even with the ignition switched off, failure to do this can short out the outputs on the ecu and fry it!!
