Very difficult to tell. I certainly dont think its the same red as yours joel, it doesnt appear to have as much orange in it, but i dont think its got as much purple in it as the Wine red used on the skylines.

Any other pics?

Hard to say, diff camera's, diff lighting ...etc

ย

i wanna take a pic of my zed in that light with that camera! i like that!

Swirl marks in your paint will make seem to have more of a pink tint to it mate. If you wana bring back the deep glossyness to your paint, you need to machine polish it.

Or PM me and ill see what i can do :D

i know what your saying nick but next time i see you il have to show you why i cant do that... for a start the rear bumper is a different shade (i think it was damaged in import and blown over before i bought it)... but the main issue is the front pax wing and bonnet have areas where its been machine polished so many times that the paint is so thin its become transparent, the primer can just been seen through it in the right light, a man with your eye for detail will pick it up straight away. repaint is the only way forward for this old girl!

Ill give you a buzz when im next about, ill bring my paint thickness gauge over and ill be able to give you an idea where you stand.

ย

If its as you say and you can see primer under the paint, then whoever did the machine polishing has completely fubar'd it, and struck through the clear coat. If that it the case, then your right, itll need a respray. But if not, there may be life in the old girl yet and it may be possible to make a significant improvement.

trouble is your compairing two cars in two totally different lights!

looking at the shadowed areas on the kia its pretty close
