had a lucky call today drove to yorkshire to deliver my other halfs valentine card as was in hospital after 5 on friday which is about 250 miles from my home drove back this morning as i was about 5mins from my house i decieded to check oil leval as just had to new turbos and think i have a piston ring faulty ,i pulled into the pullin on a449 at newport opened the bonnet and there was flames at the back of the engine ,there was a woman selling burgers if she hadn`t got an extinguster my car would have gone up in flames ,all i could think of was the amount of money i spend and what i would get from insurance ,so had a look and it was wires to the auto box had come free and was touching the exhaust ,it could have been worse apart from spendin 3hrs cleaning all my polished/chrome bit now to be covvered in white powder.....

Must make sure I grab that extinguisher and put it in the car.

exactly what happened to mine going round silverstone, except it was the VVT wires that went up. extinguisher made a right mess!!!

as i said earlier so so lucky but it out as flames were at least a foot high car seams ok still drives so hopefully its just the plastic covering thank god !!

Oh no johnboy after all the work you just had put into it! Lets hope you can fix it mate!

I keep a mini extinguisher in the car. Hopefully, will never have to use it.
