Hi Ant,

You'll also need a set of 6 new injector connectors as the Nismo 740's are now all modeled on the 1995+ cars. I can get these for you as well as any of the parts you still need to order. Can also recommend you buy all the upper/lower and insulator o-rings for the new injectors. Let me know if you want me to provide you with a comprehensive quote.

Is it worth getting a new gear box mount? If so OEM or nismo?

Thanks,

Ant

Yes, and get the Nismo version, Its an improved design that resolves the OEM sagging flaw.

Well I thought I would ask the question.

People keep asking what bhp I am expecting from the car when it's done. I'm not sure and I know it's the question everyone likes to ask.

So what do people think? What should I expect with the setup I will have.

Thanks,

Ant

not sure on what power those tubs usually give but i reckon something over 600

If you have GT2871R turbos then they can flow a maximum of 32psi and produce 700+ RWHP on RACE FUEL with proper tuning and supporting modifications.

Looking at your setup and parts listed I would say you could safely run upto 24psi and produce anywhere from 480 to 550 RWHP. This is assuming you run the car on 98RON and have a decent performance chip that is not leaning out the A/F ratio prematurely.

What would be more important is to find out what torque this setup is likely to produce and at what point in the rev range this torque is put down. You may find you'll need a RaceLogic traction control system to keep the rear wheels from spinning at 3000rpm in 4th gear!

leave the traction control out i say. having so much power you just melt the tyres at every amount of throttle is half the fun of owning a zed :D

Just wondering if a DOOLZ (Dual Intake) would be required with my setup I'm looking at or will a single be ok. I see Radron has one for sale and it got me thinking :D

Thanks,

WOW, I don't know how I missed this reply. Wasn't expecting that much.

with the power etc... would probably be best to use doolz even though it may not be neccesary.

You dont mean your not getting the valve guides checked for wear and the seats re cut seriously?? If not consider the high compression your new pistons and tubs will be making and the tired pitted valve seats trying to retain the pressure.

You should add vtc springs, pcv breather kit,new bridge hoses, thermostat and crank sprocket to your list. And as previously stated you want to change the cambelt and tensioner with the two idlers.

Hi Jimmer,

I am going to be doing all that lot too. When I said about not touching the heads I meant not going for uprated cams etc. Sorry it was a bit vague on my part.

Oh and I have added the tensioner etc to the list, just haven't updated the list on here :)

I guess it's best to go for the Nismo thermostat as it opens at a lower temp? Also the VTC springs is it worth getting the JWT, or are they only purchased if your running high lift cams?

Thanks,

Stupid me forgot to order two water hoses instead I ordered one :headvswal Well I hope that is everything. Just the bearings but will get the engine shop to give me sizes then I can order them. Still need to check the valve guides to see if I need them too.

Cheers,

Ant

Nice list mate and glad to see your gonna be doing the bearings too ;) Clutch and injectors should go hand in hand with what Turbo's you plan to use really.
