Is it still The Beast for East, or has someone else taken over?

Any pictures and specifications would be great.

I appreciate the power and driving them to but for a power figure it has to be what's been built not just bolted on. Of course it counts for a total figure but not when comparing against others or everyone would just start usng NOS and stop building great engines.

I think you're confused. What's wrong with a great engine and NOS? And all engine components are pretty much just 'bolted on'. It's just another component nothing more more nothing less - other than the fact it gives a lot of bang for the buck.

Absolutely spot on and you are not going to use NOS on the road, unless of course tou wish to lose your no claim bonus or your life.:tt1:

I use it virtually every time I use my car. Why would I have it fitted otherwise?

A lot of great engines aren't just bolt on, the art of rebuilding with, pistons, rods, heads etc is different to a bolt on goodie. It's almost like a quick fix for extra power like an athlete using drugs. Can you imagine a scooby adding nos and saying it has the same power as a Z!!! Everyone would disagree I'm sure

Cut all crap guys, show ut the DYNOs. You have proven engine on 504 RWHP, and have added NOS after that. It is fair to expect that you will increase power. The question is if you can beat Macca`s engine on 586 RWHP.

The question of this thread is who has the most powerful engine in the UK.

When can you show us an updated NOS-dyno to prove if you can beat Macca?

You have to ask for all the dyno sheets then, and I think there is another thread with them on.

lol, my engine had been rebuilt twice at least before I got it and far as I can see failed miserably within a few hundred miles twice (and both times had a LOT of money thrown at it). I've had virtually every part of the engine upgraded. I didn't have it rebuilt just to provide a dyno sheet to show off down the pub though I admit it is nice to have some recognition for the work that's gone into it. Even so I think 504 rwhp is pretty damn reasonable and I've done almost 3000 miles in it the past few months. Really the main reason we decided to add NOS was to cut out turbo lag and it worked. I take my car out at every opportunity, in fact I'll be out this afternoon. Now that's the art of engine building :)

I'm not going to take it to the dyno just for a power run and I can assure you that there is at least one 300zx in the pipeline that has more than me or Macca. Dan Turner is building a car for the strip right now and should be finished shortly. I will ask him for a copy of the dyno if he'll let me have it :) And judging by the current projects here on the forum there could be a few others which will give me and Macca a run for our money. Perhaps I have the most powerful zed that get's used on the street and isn't still a project :devil2:

I have a big build going on at the moment, a lot of money has ben thrown at it should be in the 600s without NOS, but has been built to run NOS so my dyno will probably include it when completed as it is part of the actual build spec.

Clearly dynos need to be posted for bragging rights lol, so at the moment I am on 0HP

This is really great news for us Nissan enthusiasts !!

We then have the following known high performance cars and projects soon to be completed:

- Bobgenie 504 + NOS RWHP

- Dan Turner (something really big under way, soon finished)

- Madmax 600 ++ RWHP

- Macca 700 RWHP - according to himself (see his project under Rides)

Some names and cars forgotten?

yes and I'm looking forward to this one as we're less than 20 miles apart :) Speed 'potential' is just a question of money. Achieving these speeds whether it on the track, strip, or street is a question of balls and skill :)

280 hp for the win haha :tt2:

Very nice comment. Perhaps you can share with us you deep ideas?

Where is Maccas Dyno result?

These were the top ones I could find and sitting in second place would be Bobgenie

Cj - 533 @ 6531 - Thor Racing - http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=85644

Machine - 491 @ 7500 - Thor Racing http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=93219

Kirbz - 479 @ 6200 - Town End Garage http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=113777

Macca has not posted a Dyno sheet.

btw - Cj's car and Bobgenie's car is the same. CJ sold it to bobgenie, but it has been extensively rebuilt since.

I dont mean to piss on anyones fire :scared: but if their is no dyno then clearly Bobgenies car is the number one car around here?.

No dyno = No proof :devil2:

agree with Legarth

  • CJ's car is now bobgenie's and is a new setup, plus Thor results are hub not rear wheel so cannot be compared.
  • Machine's was not at Thor, which is good, but it sold and no longer in the country
  • Kirbz's is no longer together and the parts are spread out all over the country :)

So the only big bhp cars I know of with dyno proven rwhp AND on the road are

  • Bobgenie 504rwhp
  • mine 494 rwhp on current tune (516 peak previously)
  • Bazz 514 at Hub (Thor dyno)
  • Silverbullit 425 rwhp

I believe Macca's is in a bodyshop and as previously mentioned, no dyno graphs until he feels it's finished. Hope this doesn't offend anyone and apologies if I missed someone out, but there's so much mis-information, speculation and bullshit on this thread in places that it's getting silly

Thanks that helps a lot, I will defo post mine for everyone to have a look at when I get it on the dyno even if it is not finnished.

I will have a go at some decent BHP, and yes I will be using NOS and anything else that I can lay my hands on that will make a difference, im not proud BHP is BHP IMO.

Jaffa: Excellent and right to the point!! No more crap, facts only.

The above list is the official, PROVEN most powerful 300ZX in the UK.

The list will be changed based only by DYNO results.

Macca will show his when time is right for him.

If someone is missing on this official list, please respond and include

dyno sheet.

Madmax;

I must congratulate you for a very professional presentation on your homepage. This is the best I have ever seen.

You also have a spec which is very impressive. This must have cost a fortune ?

Your engine with the spec you have, is capable for more power than you

have indicated in this thread. I have very much the same engine spec as you have except from the turbos, I have chosen Turbonetic T04B/46 - BB-5 KKK10 with theoretical max airflow to support 530 BHP each turbo.

My internals are very similar to yours, heads included, and I took it to 2.4 bar which was too much for the original bearings. Now I run it "safely" at 2,0 bar with ACL, the same bearings as yours. So you can without big worries increase to this pressure level. From 1,2 bar to 2,0 bar you will be astonished,- it is a wild ride all the way. Be aware if you get backpressure, you can eliminate this by porting the exhaust house which will make a big difference. This is a very special job which very few can do. If you`d like, I can give you my contact data for this.

So again I congratulate you with an impressive project and presentation !!

Thanks, here is the complete list of new bits I have bought so far, one of my web developers built the site for me.

http://www.project300tt.com/showroom/

I have spent a lot of money on it all, I think by the time I finnish it all it will have cost a small fortune. I have always wanted a project car so wanted to do it right first time around. The engine has been built by Kyle Puckett and he did the spec for me based on his own experience so I am looking forward to seeing just what it can do. I plan to do as much as possible with it BHP wise.

At the moment is is just a load of bits so I just hope I can get the thing running!

I still need to get the main exhaust so would love the contact details.

This company in Norway did the job for me.

http://www.turboservice.no/FlowPrep.html

I know that the expert in the company is designing turbos for Volvo.

I paid less than £100 each turbo for the porting job. They name it "Flow prep". I can guarantee that is has a very good effect. The text is in Norwegian so you will probably not understand it. Use their mailadress or call them, they speak english.

I will send you pictures of the turbo on you mailadress, before and after the flow prep so you can see what they did.

I experienced back-pressure from 1,5 bar. After prep, I took the engine to 2,4 bar.

nice figures there ))

I think there is SMW1's old car, maxed out the dyno at 550ish BHP Flywheel, not sure if the dyno slip is anywhere to be seen though!

You are right, Mikael, it`s a nice list.

As soon you have your engine ready and a good DYNO to show, I guess you will be added. Looking forward to this !!

Best regards

Could not find your e-mail anywhere. I will send you pictures of the exhaust part of the turbo before and after flow prep where you clearly can see the difference. If you would like these pictures, please send me your mailadress on SMS to my phone number +47 984 018 12.
