Just bought my second zed so im over the moon. It seems to run sweet but ive notice it has an oil leak in the engine bay just infront of the steering wheel, ive also notice oil comming from the dumpvalve on the same side as what the leak is on. Ive checked the oil level and it seems ok.

When i start the car the oil reading on the oil gauge seems ok but then after 5 mins it goes right down. Any ideas as i dont have a clue

Thanks Oz

Oil gauge is doing is it should do. When the oil is cold, it has a high viscosity rate and therefore your oil pressure gauge will be reading a higher oil pressure. When the oil warms, the viscosity reduces and with that so does your oil pressure. Stock oil gauges are pretty inaccurate anyway.

The oil from the DV could be either blowback (worn rings), or clogged PCVs/lines. But, getting oil that far down the inlet tract would suggest blowback at high boost pressures.

Get a compression check done to rule that one out.
